The main window.
Select "New Design" to open the design wizard. |
The design wizard.
The first screen collects the client and permitting information. Preferences can be set for many of the fields and options in the wizard. |
Most lists anticipate and fill in as you type. For example: in the County
field as you type an "F" Fayette county fills in. If you continue and type
an "o" then it changes to Forest county. |
The site data screen.
The size constraints,
if used, cause the software to provide you with the "best fit" system. The
best fit is the system that has the least square footage overlap beyond the
constraints. |
The system type screen.
The software enables
only those system types that are allowed given the site data. In this example
the suitable system types are Elevated Sand Mound and Peat-Based Systems.
If we were to select Peat-Based then we could also choose the manufacturer
(Puraflo has not yet sent their specs) and the configuration of the at-grade
bed that goes with the peat system. |
As different system types are selected the Bed Summary is updated so that
comparisons between the system types can be made. |
The plumbing options screen.
The software fills
in typical values that you can adjust, if you want. The Plumbing Summary is updated as changes are made. |
The pump selection screen.
The pumps are chosen
from a database of suitable pumps. We can easily add new pumps, if you
provide the spec sheets. The software checks the lowest horsepower pump that is adequate for the design from each group. You can uncheck or check others. Pumps that do not meet the needs of the design are grayed out and cannot be selected. |
Double clicking on a pump opens the pump curve for the pump with the design
needs drawn on it. You can view as many pump curves at once as you want. |
The tank selection screen.
The software checks the smallest suitable tank from each group in the database. The selection can be limited to local brands only so that you can specify locally available tanks. The spec sheets for the tanks are optionally included in the design. Currently we have only a few manufacturers' specs in our database. Send us your specs and we will include them. Make sure you include a list of counties you deliver to. |
The plot plan options screen.
If "Include Instructions"
is checked then a sheet is added to the design that describes how to do
a plot plan, what needs to be included, and isolation distances. If "Draw here" is checked then you can create and edit the plot plan in the plot plan editor. If "External" is checked it indicates that you intend to draw the plot plan by hand or with other software. |
The plot plan editor
The Plot Plan Editor
is a 2D CAD environment with extensions to aid in drawing plot plans. The most important feature is its capability to paste the system's footprint with just a few mouse clicks. |
The final screen.
From here you can review, save, purchase, and print the design. |
